Trading Rules

v1.3

Complete rules governing all CoinProp 1-Step Evaluation and Funded accounts. By purchasing an evaluation, you agree to these rules in full.

We never hold your funds. Evaluation fees buy software access. There are no deposits, no customer balances, and no custody. All trading is simulated, and rewards are paid out to you, never held for you.

01

Overview

CoinProp is a crypto proprietary trading firm. We offer traders access to simulated funded accounts of up to $400,000 through a 1-step evaluation model. No personal capital is deposited or traded. Traders pay an evaluation fee, prove their edge under defined rules, and receive a simulated funded account with performance-based payouts.

Pass the evaluation. Get funded. Keep up to 95% of your simulated profit.

All trading takes place on CoinProp's CPX terminal, powered by TradingView Advanced charting and Bybit perpetuals liquidity.

This rules page governs all CoinProp 1-Step Evaluation and Funded accounts. By purchasing an evaluation, you agree to these rules in full.

02

Booster accounts have a tighter Max Loss Limit of 3% — the same as the Daily Loss Limit. No Extended Drawdown add-on is available for Booster. No minimum trading days required.

For current pricing visit coinprop.io/pricing.

Refunds. An evaluation fee is refundable within 14 calendar days of purchase, provided no trades have been placed on the account. Activating the account, logging in, and opening CPX do not affect eligibility — only placing a trade does. Once a trade has been placed, or once 14 days have passed, the fee is non-refundable. Separately, if identity verification is rejected, or verification shows you were not eligible at the time of purchase, all of your active evaluation purchases are refunded in full and platform access is closed.
Discount codes. Promotional and first-purchase discount codes are limited per person, not per registration. A code used under a duplicate registration is a misuse of the offer; the discount is recoverable from any reward and the accounts are subject to Section 15.

03

How It Works

Step 01

Purchase

Choose your account size, select any add-ons, and pay the evaluation fee.

Step 02

Trade

Hit the 9% profit target while staying within the drawdown limits. No time limit.

Step 03

Pass

Reach the profit target without breaching any rule. Your evaluation passes automatically.

Step 04

Get Funded

Receive a simulated funded account. Request on-demand payouts every 5 qualifying trading days.

04

Definitions

Balance

The total account value based on closed realized P&L only. Does not include open positions.

Equity

The real-time account value including both closed P&L and the unrealized P&L of all open positions. Equity = Balance + Unrealized P&L.

Max Loss Limit (MLL)

A fixed absolute floor set permanently at 6% below your initial account balance. Never moves regardless of profits or payouts.

Daily Loss Limit (DLL)

A fixed dollar amount equal to 3% of your initial account balance. The floor it creates follows your current equity and resets at every 00:00 UTC rollover.

Breach

The automatic closure of all open positions and permanent termination of the account. Cannot be recovered, reset, or appealed.

Profit Target

The account growth required to pass the evaluation, expressed as a percentage of the starting balance. Applies to the evaluation stage only.

Qualifying Trading Day

On a funded account: a day where at least one position is closed on that UTC day, with margin committed of at least 5% of the initial account balance, held open for at least 1 minute, and where the total realized PnL for that UTC day moves the account by at least ±0.3% of the initial account balance. The day that counts is the day the position closes, not the day it opens. At the evaluation stage there are no such conditions: any UTC day on which you close a position counts toward the minimum. 05

Drawdown Limits

Every CoinProp account has two drawdown limits active at all times, in both the evaluation and funded stages:

Max Loss Limit — a permanent absolute floor set at 6% below the initial account balance. Never moves.

Daily Loss Limit — a fixed dollar amount that follows current equity and resets every 00:00 UTC.

Visual — $10,000 Account

Breach
MLL $9,400DLL $9,700$10,000

Max Loss Limit

$9,400

Fixed at −6% forever

Daily Loss Limit

$300

Fixed dollar, floor resets daily

Below MLL — permanent breach
Below DLL floor — daily breach
Safe trading zone
Booster accounts: Max Loss Limit is 3% — the same percentage as the Daily Loss Limit. On a $10,000 account, the MLL floor is $9,700. The DLL dollar amount is $300. Both limits are identical in percentage.
If your equity reaches or falls below either limit at any point, the account is immediately and permanently breached. Both limits are equity-based — open positions count.
06

Daily Loss Limit

The Daily Loss Limit is a fixed dollar amount equal to 3% of your initial account balance. This dollar amount never changes. The floor it creates follows your current equity. At every 00:00 UTC rollover, the system takes your current equity and subtracts the fixed DLL dollar amount to set your floor for that day.

Daily Loss Limit = Initial Balance × 3%
Equity Floor = Current Equity at 00:00 UTC − Daily Loss Limit

Example — $10,000 account

Daily Loss Limit = $300 (fixed forever)

Equity at rollover:$11,500In profit
Floor for today:$11,200
Equity at rollover:$10,200Slightly up
Floor for today:$9,900
Equity at rollover:$10,000At initial
Floor for today:$9,700

The dollar amount is fixed for the life of the account

The floor resets every day at 00:00 UTC based on current equity

Equity includes floating P&L from open positions

Even a momentary touch of the floor triggers a breach

07

Max Loss Limit

The Max Loss Limit is a permanent absolute floor set at 6% below your initial account balance for Signature (3% for Booster). It is set once at account creation and never changes, regardless of how high your account grows or how many payouts you take.

Signature MLL floors (6%)

MLL Floor = Initial Balance × (1 − 0.06)
Account SizeMLL Floor
$5,000$4,700
$10,000$9,400
$25,000$23,500
$50,000$47,000
$100,000$94,000

Booster MLL floors (3%)

MLL Floor = Initial Balance × (1 − 0.03)
Account SizeMLL Floor (3%)
$5,000$4,850
$10,000$9,700
$25,000$24,250
$50,000$48,500
$100,000$97,000
Example — $100,000 Signature account: MLL floor = $94,000. If your account grows to $130,000, your MLL floor is still $94,000. It never moves.
Example — $100,000 Booster account: MLL floor = $97,000. It never moves.
08

Breach Rules

A breach occurs when your account equity reaches or falls below either the Max Loss Limit or the Daily Loss Limit floor.

What happens on breach

All open positions are immediately closed

The account is permanently disabled

No further trading is possible on that account

No payouts are available from a breached account

Breaches are permanent. There are no resets, appeals, or exceptions.

You do not need to close a trade for a breach to occur. Floating P&L on open positions counts toward your equity.

You are never liable for losses beyond your evaluation fee. A breach simply means the account is closed.

To try again, purchase a new evaluation at any time.

09

Profit Target

To pass the evaluation and receive a funded account, you must grow your account balance by 9% of the initial balance. The profit target applies only to the evaluation stage. Funded accounts have no profit target.

Profit Target

$50,000$5,000$55,000
$100,000$10,000$110,000

The profit target is based on balance (closed P&L). You must close trades to realize profit.

There is no time limit to reach the profit target.

Signature: A minimum of 2 trading days is required to pass. Any UTC day on which you close a position counts.

Booster: No minimum trading days. The evaluation passes as soon as the profit target is reached.

Once your balance reaches or exceeds the target, the evaluation passes automatically.

10

Funded Account Rules

Upon passing the evaluation, you receive a simulated funded account with the same starting balance. The funded stage is governed by the Simulated Funded Trader Agreement with CoinProp Ltd., which is presented to you in full when a funded account is offered.

12

Leverage

Leverage is set by you in the CPX order panel, anywhere from 1x up to the maximum for the pair you are trading. The figures below are ceilings, not requirements — using maximum leverage is never necessary. The same maximums apply in both the evaluation and funded phases, and on both Signature and Booster.

What Is Not Restricted

CoinProp does not impose the following rules or restrictions:

Time limit

None. Take as long as you need to pass.

News trading

None. Trade during any market event.

Weekend trading

None. Crypto markets are 24/7.

Overnight holding

None. Hold positions as long as you choose.

Strategy restrictions

None. Scalping, swing, all styles permitted.

Mandatory stop-loss

None. No cap on risk per trade and no floating loss rule either.

15

Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

Multiple registrations — each person may hold exactly one CoinProp registration. Creating or using a second registration (for example a second email or Google login) for the same person, or completing identity verification for the same person under two registrations, is prohibited, whether or not the accounts are traded at the same time. All accounts under every duplicate registration are terminated and any simulated profit or pending reward is forfeited. If you have lost access to your registration, contact support instead of registering again.

Exploiting platform bugs or price feed anomalies for profit

Simulation fidelity exploitation — taking advantage of known or discoverable gaps in CPX's simulation engine, including absent spread or slippage fees, unenforced position size limits, or any condition where simulated execution materially deviates from real market conditions. Profits generated under such conditions are not eligible for payout. CoinProp reserves the right to recalculate adjusted P&L using real market data and deny payouts where simulation gaps are determined to have been a material factor in reported profit.

Account sharing or selling — every account is tied to the one verified individual who registered it; you may not let anyone else trade it, and you may not trade an account registered by someone else

Identity fraud — registering or verifying under a name, document or identity that is not your own, or verifying the same identity under more than one registration

Hedged or offsetting trading across accounts, including opposing positions in the same instrument or in materially correlated instruments, across two or more accounts, whether held by you alone or by different people acting in coordination

Third-party coordination — coordinating trades with other traders to exploit drawdown mechanics

Account cycling — repeatedly purchasing evaluations to place maximum-risk binary bets

Simulated or wash trading — executing trades with no genuine market risk to inflate metrics

CoinProp reviews accounts for the conduct above, including during every reward review, using trade-pattern analysis, identity and payment records, and login metadata. Reviews may be manual or automated. Suspicious activity may result in suspension, termination, or a permanent ban.
16

Identity Verification

Purchasing an evaluation

Starting to trade

Accessing the platform

Required Before

KYC is required before your funded account is activated. Once you pass the evaluation, you must complete identity verification before you can access your funded account. Trading and payouts are not available until verification is complete.

Verification is handled through Veriff and can be completed from your dashboard. Accepted documents: valid government-issued passport, national ID card, or driver's license.

Verification is tied to a single registration. If a document or person has already been verified under another registration, the new verification is held for review and both registrations may be terminated under Section 15.

Residents of some jurisdictions cannot register, purchase evaluations, or receive rewards. Eligibility is based on where you ordinarily reside, not on citizenship. The current list is published at coinprop.io/legal/restricted-jurisdictions.
17

Account Limits

All limits in this section apply per person, across every account you hold, and assume one registration per person (Section 15). Holding accounts under two registrations does not increase any limit and is itself a rule breach.

Evaluations are uncapped — you may buy and hold as many as you like. The limits apply to funded accounts only: a maximum of 4 funded accounts at any one time, and a maximum of $400,000 in combined funded capital. Both limits apply, and whichever is reached first is binding — so eight $50,000 funded accounts are not permitted even though they total $400,000.

18

Trade Execution

CoinProp operates a simulated trading environment with live market data, real execution costs, and real position limits, but no actual capital at risk. The experience is as close to live trading as possible by design. The funds in your account are notional and have no economic value. The trades you place through CPX are simulated trades designed to mimic real market conditions but do not involve the buying or selling of digital assets on-chain with actual third parties.

No artificial spread is added — you are filled at the exact tick you see. The real cost of moving the order book is charged separately as a slippage fee, calculated at the time of order submission from live Bybit order book depth for the pair and your position size, and charged on every fill. Position sizes are capped at Bybit's official maxMktOrderQty for each pair, which is enforced at order submission. Trades that would exceed this limit will be rejected. Both the slippage fee and maximum position size are displayed in the order confirmation panel before execution.

Funded traders do not own any trading account, position, or capital. The funded account is a performance-tracking mechanism that determines eligibility for performance-based payouts. It is not a brokerage account, investment account, or custodial arrangement.
19

Fees & Costs

A one-time evaluation fee is paid to activate an evaluation account. See Section 2 for pricing and refund eligibility.

20

Risk Acknowledgment

By purchasing a CoinProp evaluation, you acknowledge and accept the following:

Most traders do not pass on their first attempt. The evaluation is designed to be challenging. There is no guarantee of success.

Evaluation fees are refundable only within 14 calendar days of purchase and only if no trades have been placed on the account. If identity verification is rejected, or verification shows you were not eligible at the time of purchase, your active evaluation purchases are refunded in full.

Funded accounts can be breached. Even after passing, your funded account is subject to the same drawdown rules and can be permanently closed at any time.

Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Crypto markets are volatile. Prices can move rapidly and unpredictably.

Leverage amplifies risk. Higher leverage means larger potential losses relative to account size.

You are not trading real capital. You do not own the funded account or any positions within it. You are eligible for performance-based payouts only.

CoinProp may modify these rules with reasonable notice. Active funded accounts will be governed by the rules in effect at the time of account activation unless otherwise stated.
